Albums en ribambelle - novembre 2025

• Commençons par un coup de projecteur sur les albums de deux pianistes remarquables. Sophia Domancich et Russ Lossing ont eu l’excellente idée de choisir le même contrebassiste, Mark Helias, et le même batteur, Eric McPherson. Des complices de tout premier plan pour deux as du piano. Écoutez donc Wishes (Sophia D.) et Proximity Alert (Russ L.) pour apprécier l’implication des musiciens dans le jeu en trio. Une leçon en deux volumes !
• Notre vieille Europe n’est pas en reste pour proposer des musiques passionnantes. On s’intéressera donc à nos deux experts des cordes Vincent Courtois et Régis Huby grands créateurs de formules aussi insolites que sensibles avec Line for Lions pour le premier et Bliss pour le second.
• Et sur le label franco-allemand Umlaut Records, on se régalera avec le nouvel opus Antworten auf seltene fragen du Simon Rummel Ensemble qui nous ravit à chaque fois avec sa musique qui se nourrit de tant d’influences pour inventer des formes neuves et touchantes.
• Les amateurs de formes musicales insolites pourront s’intéresser de près à l’album de Thomas Morgan qui réunit une fine équipe de musiciens créatifs autour de sa contrebasse et de WOODS, un dispositif informatique qui nous transporte dans un univers surprenant (Around You Is A Forest). Aussi surprenant que la musique du trio norvégien Miman avec X-IV ou du groupe Insect Life.
• Enfin, dans un monde en perte de repères sociaux, politiques, écologiques et éthiques, les deux amis Sébastien Texier et Christophe Marguet (avec François Thuillier et Manu Codjia !) nous proposent une belle Célébration qui s’inspire "de faits historiques marquants qui ont insufflé au monde un élan de liberté et d’espoir". On en a besoin !
